Back for another year, Madden NFL 23 lands on PS5 and PS4 on August 19th.

Featuring “entirely new ways to control your impact with every decision,” Madden NFL 23 will let you call the shots franchise with updates to the logic of trade and free will. You will be able to enter the history books in Face of the Franchise: The League and “assemble the most powerful roster in all of Madden Ultimate Team”. Ooer.

The PS5 version of the game appears to be where it is this year, with an all-new “FieldSENSE” system that promises “consistent, ultra-realistic gameplay” and “more control over the entire field in every game mode”. We’ll have to wait until we get our hands on it to know for sure, but it looks like 23 could be an exciting release.

Towards the end of the month we have Saints Row, an original title rumored to be “the largest and best Saints Row playground ever created”.

Promising “extraordinary scenes and distinctive surprises”, the game is set in the vast world of Santo Ileso. We’ll let the official blurb take things from here:

As a future Boss, with Neenah, Kevin and Eli by your side, you will form the Saints and face Los Panteros, The Idols and Marshall as you build your empire on the streets of Santo Ileso and fight for control of the city. Ultimately Saints Row is the story of a start-up, it’s just that the business the Saints are in is a crime.

One game that needs no introduction – although yes, this is basically an introduction – is The Last of Us Part I, a remake of the epic that defined the Naughty Dog genre that originally launched on PS3.

Everyone and their HD Giraffe have their say on this, but we’re happy to let the new improved gameplay speak when it launches on September 2nd. If you’ve already sold this remake of Joel and Ellie’s unforgettable adventure, you can order a copy below. More pre-order options are available here.

Stray (physical edition) – September 20

The digital edition may already be available on both the PS Store and as part of your PS Plus membership, but anyone wishing to pick up a physical copy of Stray can do so on September 20.

Ever wanted to roam cyberpunk cities and explore a raw world as an adorable kitty? Well now you can. More pre-order options are available here.

FIFA 23 – 30 September

And on the 30th, EA launches its latest footie simulator, the latest from the studio to bear the FIFA name.

FIFA 23 is said to be the “most ambitious” FIFA game ever, with more cross-play possibilities, new HyperMotion 2 technology, the introduction of women’s club football and more elevation of the game to new heights. Pre-orders are available below if you’re ready for kick-off, including the Sam Kerr edition with alternate cover, exclusive to Amazon UK. More pre-order options are available here.
