Today’s best deals: Anker noise-canceling headphones, USB-C charger, and more

Ars Technique

It’s Wednesday, which means it’s time for another Dealmaster. Our latest roundup of the best tech offerings from around the web includes a hefty discount on Anker’s Soundcore Life Q30, with the wireless noise canceling headphones currently dropping to $ 60 as part of a one-day Amazon sale. That’s $ 20 off the regular rate and matches the price we saw at Amazon’s Prime Day sale event earlier this year. It is also within $ 5 of their all time low.
We continue to recommend the Soundcore Life Q30 as great value for money for those who can’t spend more than $ 100 on wireless noise canceling headphones. To be clear, they can’t match Apple, Sony, and Bose’s best options when it comes to raw noise cancellation strength, and their default audio profile is much more bass boosted in comparison. But no wireless headphones under $ 100 are uncompromising. For $ 60, the Q30’s active noise cancellation is still good enough to be useful on a flight or in the office. The headphones also have an incredible 40-hour battery life, and their lightweight, comfortable design means they’re not an effort to wear for hours at a time. Plus, you can tweak that heavy bass sound to something more neutral through an EQ tool in Anker’s companion app. The app also lets you switch between three different ANC strength levels depending on your surroundings.
Anker has released a few updates to this pair since it launched, and while those are good too, they’re just a marginal update (like with the Soundcore Life Q35) or too expensive (like with the new $ 150 Soundcore Space Q45) for real. compete with the Q30 in terms of pure value. You should still opt for something like Sony’s WH-1000XM4 or XM5, Apple’s AirPods Max, or Bose’s QuietComfort 45 if you can afford them, but if you want to stay on a tight budget, the Q30’s have enough for the money to be worth it.

If you don’t need a new set of headphones, though, we also have lower-than-usual prices on a handful of USB-C wall chargers we like, LG’s C2 OLED TVs, HBO Max and Disney + subscriptions, a handful of MacBooks. , and more. You can check out our full list of offers below.
