With the new Grand Theft Auto online update released last week, the game got easier after Rockstar added more ways to make money that don’t involve pulling your hair out and putting up with annoying trolls. But a big update like this for an already huge game can be very overwhelming.

Don’t worry though, we have a few tips that should be useful for both returning and longtime players alike GTA Online vets who want a quick update on what’s new and how Criminal Companies Update works.

Returning players, find out what you have

If you haven’t played GTA Online in a few months (or years), you will probably return to a world full of things you may or may not own. And you may not remember everything you have, so take a moment to figure it out. He becomes a CEO and / or leader of a biker club and then checks the map to see which icons appear in your color. This will help you understand your empire quickly.

When you visit your club, run

If you own a nightclub (or a casino penthouse) here’s some good news: now you can run to these places. This is especially useful for people who want to go upstairs to the office to manage the company’s inventory and supplies. You no longer have to walk slowly on the dance floor to get to work. You can run at the casino too! Now you can spin the wheel even faster.

Watch for new and easy money making opportunities

With this new update, you may notice new ways to make money or increase your passive daily income. For example, if you own a bunker and are making stock to sell, you will occasionally get a notification of excess weapons that can be sold to local ammo for some extra bucks.

Another example is the nightclub, where rowdy patrons can be thrown. Not only is it fun, it also boosts your club’s reputation by increasing its daily profits. As usual, these opportunities will come via your phone.

Take advantage of the sessions by invitation only

Arguably the biggest and best change in this update is the new ability for players to complete virtually any type of business in an invitation-only private session. You no longer have to worry about random assholes blowing up your hard-earned drugs before they can sell them all for big bucks. Instead, enter a new invitation-only session and peacefully deliver as many medications, weapons, and more as you want, for free mourners or jet ski trolls.

Solo players still need to be careful when selling

While being able to complete sales missions and other business-related tasks in solo sessions is fantastic, Rockstar hasn’t changed the actual missions or the way they work. So, be careful how much your sales increase, as too many crates or guns can create large deliveries across multiple vehicles that aren’t feasible as a single player in the limited time you have available. If you really want to sell a large number of illicit goods, be sure to call a friend or two to help you complete the transaction.

Oh, and remember, a solo session is player-free, but NPCs will still spawn and attack you during most missions and deliveries.

Yes, the Master Control Terminal also works in solo sessions

The Master Control Terminal, or MCT, is a $ 1.7 million supercomputer added in the Diamond Casino Heist update. It’s an upgrade you can purchase for your arcade, which is used as a cover for robbery planning.

With MCT, a player can buy supplies, start businesses, buy location upgrades, and start selling missions, all from one convenient (and expensive …) place. And luckily, it works in solo sessions after this update. Just one caveat: the Terrorbyte, which has some of the same functions as the MCT, doesn’t work in single player sessions.

Play the new ULP Paper Trail missions

While the payoff from these six missions is nowhere near as high as it should be, considering all the work you end up doing for the US government, it’s still a great break from the routine. GTA Online. Missions have a fun mix of classic GTA Online fighting and some interesting super spy moments. To think GTA Online meets Mission Impossible. Oh, and don’t read too much about the latest mission until after playing it. Trust me…

Don’t buy the new sniper rifle

Regardless of whether you jump online or not to do some new missions or to make money by selling drugs or whatever, do not purchase the new sniper rifle added in this update. It looks interesting and looks like it could be useful, being a mid-range sniper similar to a semi-automatic DMR. However, its accuracy isn’t impressive, its damage is hideous, it has no upgrades to speak of, and it costs $ 450,000.

And if you’re looking for the mocked-up M16-like service rifle, sadly it’s not out yet. Although the dataminers have already discovered the treasure hunt, you will need to unlock it, so expect Rockstar to add it in the near future.

When in combat, eat snacks quickly

If you start getting shot during a firefight and take damage, don’t take cover and tinker with the interaction menu to eat some candy. Instead, use the new hotkey that appears when you open the weapon wheel. You’ll also find a hotkey to replace the armor vest when you open the weapon wheel as well. Now, just remember that you still need to replace the snacks and armor once you’ve used them.

You can now turn off chat on your PC

Ahhhh … you are finally free from that terrible place.
